Our Story – Founders Story

Our History

Founded in 2004, Texas Honey Ham Company began with a simple vision: to create a welcoming place where the community could gather over great food and genuine hospitality.

Co-founders Trent Hunt, Robert Siller, and Kelly Weiss set out to build more than just a restaurant. They wanted to establish a neighborhood destination — one rooted in quality, consistency, and personal connection. Nearly two decades later, that same commitment continues to guide everything we do.

Trent brings a lifelong passion for cooking to the business and is the creative force behind many of Texas Honey Ham’s signature recipes. Family has always been central to his life, and you’ll often find his children lending a hand in the restaurant — a reflection of the family-oriented culture that defines the company.

Kelly, an attorney practicing in the Austin area, provides strategic leadership and guidance, helping shape the long-term growth and stability of the company.

Together, the founders built Texas Honey Ham on the belief that great food brings people together. That philosophy continues today as we proudly serve Central Texas with made-from-scratch meals, warm hospitality, and a genuine commitment to the communities we call home.
